Horizon Academy, sinnar celebrated National Mathematics Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.He was a world famous mathematician who made remarkable contributions towards mathematical analysis, number theory, infinite series and continued fraction. As far as most scientific experts, thinkers and visionaries go, mathematics is the language of the universe. It helps you to understand your environment in the most fundamental and logical way possible. The main objective behind celebrating the day is to raise awareness among children about the importance of mathematics for the development of humanity. We commenced the celebration with special assembly on Mathematics. In Assembly, students shared Thought of the Day, News, Speech on National Mathematics day and on famous mathematicians like Ramanujan, Aryabhatta and Bhaskaracharya. Horizonites displayed unique tricks that proved the only way to learn mathematics is to do mathematics. In continuation of the celebration, each and every class in the school did one Math activity in their respective classes. Students of grade 9th and 10th made a Maths model and gave a infromation to all the students. Hon. Principal Mr. Nithish Nair appreciated the students afforts.The entire event was planned and executed by our Math teachers.
