The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with pride and reverence at Horizon Academy Sinnar.The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity and brotherhood. The event began at 8:00 am with the hoisting of the tricolor flag by Hon. Principal Mr. Nithish Nair accompanied by the SMC and PTA members.
Flag hoisting was followed by the National Anthem to pay tribute to the motherland. The March Past was conducted by our students from various sections while the school choir sang patriotic songs.There were enactments of speeches of great freedom fighters by our students. The school echoed with patriotic fervour as the children of Grade 8th A, B and C danced to the tunes of patriotism. Students are also made aware of the cultural heritage and other aspects about India arousing a sense of pride in being a citizen of a country with a rich cultural past. They are encouraged to preserve its varied national heritage and assume a sense of social responsibility. The day cames to an end with proposing speech and vote of thanks by Hon.Principal Mr. Nithish Nair to the Chief Guest for their presence, school staff, teachers and the students for their active participation in making the Republic day a wonderful ceremony and celebration.
