Horizon Academy, Sinnar celebrated Shiv Jayanti on 19/2/2024 in memory of a great valient Maratha warrior Chh. Shivaji Maharaj with great pomp, zeal and enthusiasm. The function was graced by Hon. Principal Mr. Nithish Nair.
The program began with an energetic lejim dance performed by the students followed by the arrival of the Principal and teachers carrying a palanquin of Chh. Shivaji Maharaj. The lejim dance was followed by the inaugural lighting of the lamp and garlanding the statue of Chh. Shivaji Maharaj by the Principal.
An attention seeking dance by Ms. Shivanya Gadakh Jr.kg performed that fascinated the audience. Powada explaining the bravery and valour of Chh. Shivaji Maharaj were sung by Mast. Kanishk Mule jr.kg , Mast. Ayush Patil 6th B and Mast. Ansh Wadekar 7th B.
Further a traditional dances were performed by the students of Grade 1st and Grade 6th. Mast. Abhiraj Shinde 4th A, Ms. Asmita Waman 4thA and Ms. Achal Chavan 9th entralled their performances through their informative and inspirational speeches. A melodious group song were sung by the students of Grade 5th. The program was anchor by students of Grade 9th Ms. Prachi Pande and Ms. Shital Arakkal. Finally few inspiring words to motivate and enlighten the young minds speeches were delivered by the Principal and the teacher Mr. Swapnil Vaishnav about the life of Chh. Shivaji Maharaj.
