Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj Horizon Academy Sinnar Celebrates ‘Samaj Din’ with Enthusiasm.
Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj Horizon Academy, Sinnar celebrated ‘Samaj Din’ with great enthusiasm on the birth anniversary of its illustrious founder, Karmaveer Raosaheb Thorat. The event reflected deep respect for the visionary who laid the foundation of the institution and highlighted the values of education and service.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of School Education Committee members S. R. Pagar, J. B. Pagar, B. G. Thorat, Dnyaneshwar Kokate, and Vikas Ugale; Parent-Teacher Association members Archana Vaychale and Dr. Rashmi Sonawane; along with Principal Nitish Nair, teachers, parents, and students.
The program commenced with a solemn flag hoisting ceremony performed by committee member J. B. Pagar. This was followed by an inspiring rendition of the Samaj Geet by the school choir. Students of Class IX, Shravani Murkute and Shravani Awhad, delivered a heartfelt address highlighting the life and contribution of Karmaveer Raosaheb Thorat.
A thought-provoking theatrical presentation on “Propagation of Educational Institutions” by the students received much appreciation from the audience. Adding depth to the occasion, Assistant Teacher Sharmila Ji shared valuable insights on the rich history of the institution, while Principal Nitish Nair reminded students of their responsibilities towards the school and urged them to contribute actively to the growth and progress of the Samaj. J. B. Pagar further enriched the gathering by sharing significant milestones from the organization’s journey.
The event was anchored gracefully by Shwetali Katkade and Anushka Pangarkar and concluded with the rendition of the State Song, evoking a sense of pride and unity.
